TRIAL FLIGHTS
As a way of introducing people to "Light Aviation" the Edinburgh Flying Club offers Trial Flights.
The purpose is to let people experience flying in a typical single engine aircraft. We conduct all our trial flights in four seat aircraft, which allows you to take a friend or family member when you have your first flight. Although the aircraft are 4 seaters, only the pilot and 2 persons can be carried due to weight restrictions.
A trial flight will begin with a ground briefing given by your Instructor on how the aeroplane flies and the effect of the various flight controls. Once in the aircraft you will be shown the various controls and given a safety briefing.
During the flight you will be shown how the controls work and encouraged to fly the aircraft.
Cessna Cockpit
The flights are conducted within a radius of approximately 45 miles from Edinburgh Airport. If you have a wish to see a particular area, such as your house, then every effort will be made to accommodate this.
Important: Anyone wishing to fly (as a pilot or passenger) must bring with them either a passport or a photo driving licence for airport security.
The minimum age to fly our aircraft on trial flights is 14 years.

The cost of a trial flight is:-
£179 for a 40 minute flight and
£225 for a 1 hour flight.
