Edinburgh Flying Club operates three aircraft. One is normally used for training, and two for trial flights. However a Club member may fly any of the aeroplanes provided they have been authorised to do so by an instructor.
The Piper Warrior (PA28), registered G-BPFH is a four seater and is our main training aircraft. This aircraft was
designed as a tourer but is used extensively as a trainer throughout the
world. This aircraft has a cruising speed of approximately 95kts.
The Piper Archer (PA28), registered G-BNGT, is also a four seat aeroplane. Similar to the
Piper Warrior, this aeroplane is very well equipped with
GPS and autopilot. It has a cruising speed of approximately 100 kts which makes
it suited for longer flights such as touring Europe.
The Cessna 172, registered G-BMCI is also a four seat aeroplane. Being a
'high wing' aeroplane it provides the rear passengers with an excellent view
of the ground, and this makes it ideal for Trial Flights.
